LASIK is a remarkable vision correction procedure, but not everyone is an ideal candidate.

Typically, the best candidates for LASIK:

 Are adults over 18 years old
Have a stable eyeglass prescription for at least two years
Have healthy eyes with no significant eye diseases or infections

Current FDA approvals for LASIK allow treatment of myopia up to -12.00 D, astigmatism up to 6.00 D, and hyperopia up to 6.00 D.
Are not pregnant or nursing
Are not taking medications or have conditions that can affect healing or the results of the procedure
